About Gemini for desktop
Gemini now has native desktop apps. Press Option+Space on a Mac (Alt+Space on Windows) and the assistant pops up, ready to look at your open window, a document or a local file.
Image generation with Nano Banana and the Veo video tools are built in. The app is free to use, with paid subscription tiers on top. The Mac version needs macOS 15 or newer. Handy when you'd rather ask about what's on screen than copy it into a chat window.
